Hello from my beautiful bedroom desk!

It’s just after seven, and our youngest sweet babe just fell asleep for the night (Hallelujah! One down, one to go!).

Rather than swing right back downstairs, I stopped in to change into some sweatpants and found myself sliding into my writing chair. Why not get a little Friday Favorites blog post written up and ready to share?

GREAT IDEA, right? Right.

First, though, you guys – you rock! I wanted to get to know you and what you love to read and are interested in by sharing a quick survey that went out in yesterday’s newsletter, and you killed it! The responses are seriously excellent. 

To give you more of what you want – because remember, it’s all about YOU! – I want to share more about my life, what it looks like day in and day out, and what a few of my favorite things are. 

Enter: Friday Favorites! (#fridayfavorites) It even has its own fancy hashtag.

Every Friday, I’ll try and round up three of my favorite things and share them with you. These will be things I can’t live without, things I’m loving, and a couple of dupes and lookalikes just in case you love what you’re seeing but want options. (I love options.)

So without further ado, here are this weeks’ Friday Favorites!

Half-zip Fleece Sweatshirt

This half-zip from Abercrombie is my all-time favorite cozy-but-cute sweatshirt right now. I first saw something like it when the home reno and decorating genius duo, Chris Loves Julia’s, Julia, shared something similar. Now I can’t take it off. I usually wear it with black leggings, but today I “dressed up” and wore it with a super fancy (insert: pretty average) pair of jeans. I throw on a couple of gold necklaces with it, and it’s like I’m ready for a night out on the town. But, who are we kidding? I’m a writer, so I wear it at home.

Wit & Delight Stay on Track Notepad

This notepad is THICK – so many wonderfully crisp pages of planning beauty. This Stay on Track Notepas is another Chris Loves Julia gem, but I was able to find it by the Wit & Delight sellers on Amazon for a few bucks cheaper (I’m an author for goodness sakes).

The absolute BEST thing about this planning wonder is it doesn’t have dates. So it’s like one giant to-do list with days of the week, ongoing projects (perfect for juggling four books), notes, what’s going on at home, and my favorite: the “Big Picture” section. I’m a HUGE end-goal person, so I love seeing front and center what all of these smaller tasks are working toward. Because, let’s face it, sometimes we forget the WHY behind what we are doing.

Sally Hansen “Haute Stone” Nail Polish

You guys (ok, primarily gals, but when I say, “You guys,” it makes me think of The Goonies.) So, you guys, if you learn nothing more about me, know this: I believe painted nails make EVERYTHING BETTER. 

I’m serious. Everything is better. 

Eating, drinking coffee, pouring coffee, texting, pointing, staring at your hands, wearing rings – everything. And above all – you can quote me on this – painted nails make writing better. It’s a fact. I don’t have anything that proves it right at this moment, but I know it to be true. I have spoken. (You’re welcome Mandalorian people).

I linked to the Amazon site for no other reason than it was like twenty cents cheaper. But you can probably walk into your closest Walmart or Target and just pick one up. It’s worth it. I promise.
